I am looking to lose a good amount of weight within a 3 month time period. My physical stats are:

Age: 25
Height: 6′0
Weight: 225lbs

I would like to be able to lose at least 30lbs within 3 months. I considered going on a liquid diet, but I don’t want to lose more muscle than fat. What are some good ideas and tips on achieving this goal? (other than the obvious cardio, strict diet, etc.)

    Please, please please do not go on a liquid diet. It starves your body of nutrients that it needs, and can really hurt your body. To tell you the truth it is hard to stay healthy because of so many unhealthy options surrounding us. We never walk anywhere because of cars. We drive by about 10 fast food junky places just on one street. It is very hard to resist, but the only way to lose weight and stay healthy is by doing something you obviously dont want to do. Such as activity and strict dieting, but you dont have to be on a strict diet to be healthy. If you truly want to be healthy these are some helpful tips:

    Take vitamins everyday—
    Drink water— cut back on soda and fruit juices
    Eat less of what you are eating now
    Dont eat out often(especially not fast food)
    Eat more whole grains and veggies than any other food group
    Remember how things are cooked—instead of getting fried, get broiled or baked

    Tips when eating out;
    Portion sizes are huge at restaurants so eat half there and half for a meal at home.
    Dont get an appetizer or eat the chips or bread served before the meal.
    Remember about cheeses, sauces and dressings and ask to take them off or put it on the side.

    I would say these are fairly healthy meals;

    Breakfast: Oatmeal with fruit and a glass of orange juice.
    Lunch:Turkey sandwich with cheese and lettuce; no mayo, baby carrots with ranch and a glass of water
    Snack:Banana or a slice of whole grain toast with peanutbutter on it
    Dinner:Broiled fish with lemon juice, steamed broccolli, and greenbeans with a glass of 2% milk

    Physical activity:
    You need to be physically avtive atleast 60 minutes a day.
    More aerobic exercises such as jogging, biking, brisk walking, dancing, swimming, and hiking.

    Tips;
    Instead of parking right up close. Park farther away to walk more.
    Take the stairs instead of elevator.
    Go outside and do activity.
    When you are inside people tend to sit around.
    Less video games and TV.

    As far as losing 30 pounds in 3 months. I dont know if I can help you. This will only work if you change your lifestyle. You can not just do this for 3 months and stop. Being healthy is not just for a short time its a lifestyle for a lifetime. I hope this helps :) and good luck!

    1. Run 2 km.
    2. Join regular Gym.
    3. Eat protein in place of fat.

    And one thing which is most necessary is consciousness, you will have to be very conscious.

    Weight loss doesn’t have to be something that you dread every day of the week.

    You should be eating good healthy food that doesn’t leave you feeling starved although initially you might feel that way as you change from the bulk poor quality food that you’ve been eating to smaller portions of better quality food.

    It can take time to your body to adjust and one of the best ways to help out in this situation is to drink more water.
