Since school has started i gained liek 20 pounds! I usually am really easy to lose weight but its the winter and i cant go jogging or anything. Is there any kind of easy stuff i could do around the house? and what should i eat?

    If you are wanting an easy exercise then you don’t want to lose weight to bad. I am also stuck in the house and what I am doing is the biggest loser workout dvd, I do the cardio portion then the sculpt portion, I do this every evening, I have been doing this since Dec and this week I got into a pair of jeans that I have not been able to wear for yrs, I also have cut down my portions, what ever I use to eat at dinner or supper I cut it in half. I stay away from processed foods, sugary foods. I snack on fruits and veggies thru the day, and I slam the water. I do not drink any soda as this is horrible on the body and it will not allow you to lose weight. Hope this helps ya!

    If you really do like jogging and are just worried about the cold (ignore the rest of this sentence if you are in the northern area of America! too cold is too cold) I would go get some cold weather running gear like a proper jacket and head covering. I don’t live in a very cold area, so I don’t have much experience here.

    My best suggestion if you are indoors is to find any type of fitness program (like ones you see on TV or buy a DVD) and just get moving. If you aren’t eating fast food and drinking lots of soda (diet or not), just getting into a regular habit of exercising everyday will boost your metabolism and you will start to see results within a month (the only way you get results “immediately” is with unhealthy diets and phony weight-loss pills). If you are eating fast food and drinking sodas, stop. The extra sugar and fats will make it extremely difficult to lose those 20 pounds even if you start exercising everyday.

    Do some jumping jacks, run up and down some stairs if you have them, push ups, sit ups, crunches, anything to get your heart rate elevated.

    Good luck! And keep working at it and you will see results soon enough, and when spring comes around, you can start running again!

    It all depends on how much money you have. If you can afford it I would recommend the T-Bow. It doesn’t take up much space and can easily be stowed under the bed. It will give you a great cardio and strength training workout. If don’t want to spend a lot of money contact a Personal Trainer who can assess your fitness needs and show you how to do body weight exercises safely (no equipment needed).

    As for the eating I think we all realize what a healthy diet looks like! Eat less junk food, reduce your sugar (candy) consumption and look at reducing slightly your portion sizes.
